Nicely done...

The load screen did lock up for me, but right-clicking and clicking play soon sorts that out.

thought it was a nicely done flash. Really makes you think about what we do with trees. We sometimes forget that they are living too, ur movie makes that apparent and shockingly obvious.

Made me think. Nice work.

Awesome!

It takes a really well put together sprite movie for me to say...HELL YEAH. That was really well put together, totally vibing off the anime feel. I love your imaginative fight thought process... Im very much in awe.
U should fix up the end with a replay button so us nuts can sit there all day watchin it over...and over...and over...

Nice work!

Hi,
Its great to see animators from the UK on here.
I just checked out your animations today, I must say I find your story very interesting. Its strange to see "Lucifer" played as a more meloncoly character then the blood thirsty tyrant we are more used to seeing.

I thought the artwork was nice, although in some places it appears weaker.

I really enjoyed your choice of music, it gave it a great atmosphere.

Also, maybe you could spend more time on ur animations giving us longer versions? Your short episodes work well... but I would enjoy watching something a little longer.

Its great to see another UK animation student on NG like me... keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your Hellsent series.

(I gave u a 3 for humour cuz I found that faint bit a great comedic moment!)

lucifer-rising responds:

cheers, im still getting to grips with my characters in this but, you will be happy to know as the action hots up theres more fbf animation, im going to try n make lucys part in hell slightly humorus.. and satans adventures on earth dark n well slightly sad... in a way i hope i can help bring a little seriousness to anmation.. im sick of lame attempts at being gross and funny.. ya know wot i mean?

Your fate will be much worse then the watermelons.

I really enjoyed your movie. Had a great cinematic feel. The music was well chosen and voice actors did a good job.
I agree like many others that you are able to create a more realistic approach on an animation. You said in a reply here that you enjoy creating stick movies and enjoy being apart of ur stick community...Okay I can appreciate that.

Im not sure if it was intentional but I just found some lines really funny...Just the whole bit with the friggen decoy and watermelon. Thats good comedy. LOL!
Someone mentioned in a review about the bad writing...I dont think it was so bad. I enjoyed it for what it was. AN AWESOME flash movie...

I think some viewers expect to much from Flash animations... and forget that they rate films like these (cinematic flash films) against real motion pictures. I think they should take a step back sometimes and judge them instead with OTHER Flash movies. I believe yours is quite high up there.

Anyway... great work. Keep it up!

Nice work...

I think I was really won over because of your great choices of Incubus tracks. they are one of my fave bands...
Anyway, I like the feel you gave across with this animation. The music mixed with this sci-fi theme isnt really ordinary. I think thats what attracted me about your movie.
The animation and art was nice and you did a good job of directing your angles.
Good work!

HAHAHA! Very cool!

Haha, for having Gackt in your profile alone deserves a 10. HAHA! Anyway, I really enjoyed your film. GREAT japanese anime and Godzilla parody...
I really liked how you poked fun at alot of anime stereotypes...
The flash white and red lines, the super power name explanation. (When gozilla does the vicks beam, its name is displayed.) And the voices made me squee with laughter and delight... TOO GOOD! I really liked the lil bit where the girl was playing a video game unaware of the action outside. Well, not until her building gets squashed of course.

All my 5 are yours!

I love your work. *still laughing*
Make more!

Plastico-Monkey responds:

Hehe, thank you I'm a huge Gackt fan. It's an honor to have you review this. I love your Priest Trilogy so far very very awesome stuff. :)

StRanG3Ly InTEre5T!nG...

The mad randomness was actually quite cool. I liked the concept of the guy running around at light speed everything quaking in his path.

It's strangely cool...at the start I thought hmm...another stick movie, whatever. But kept at it and I found something strangely interesting. Really fit the quick beats of the DDR tune.

not bad.

The art was pretty bad...but I liked the concept.

kazus responds:

wow thanks! ^_^ I kinda agree with the others who say its crap...but whatever...oh well maybe it is alright after all...

Wasnt what I was expecting...

From the beginning of your piece I was getting really hyped from all the logos at the start of your trailer. Thinking this is gonna be the best thing since the coming of cheese...
Was really expecting something dark...I was wrong. I dont mean that in a bad way, I was just expecting serious looking art cuz of the vampire chronicals basis, what I got was something more comedic.
Your have a nice original look and I like your artwork. I'm guessing your trailer got the expected results out of me...I think you wanted to go flip-mode and surprise people with something they werent expecting. From the transition from Danny Elfman's haunting work to Korn.
In any case, I look forward to seeing your work. Nice trailer.

antiqkk responds:

Thanks for the long review. Well, when I was thinking of doing the actual movie, I decided to somehow experiment, you know, all those fresh ideas always in your head. So made it look kinda cartoony and not dark. Thanks

Ughhh...

Only reason this got 10 for graphics is because Square-enix rock the house.
All you did here was splice their battle from the FF8 intro. BORING!
If I wanted to see that I'd go watch the intro.

Plus that soundtrack was nasty.

Shaping up well...

I see you are a fan of Hirohiko Araki, great manga-ka of JoJo's bizarre adventure and Fist of the North Star.
I think you do your inspiration justice. I must admit at first your art did put me off...but you have a strong story and great sound. (I LOVE your voice acting! I can tell you like anime... ^_^)
You do well as a director and you have a nice sense of story telling.

Crits: I think you could work on your animation a lil more...a few more parts to tween would do wonders.
Also, I think tracing some of Hirohiko Araki's art sort of makes the art style a lil inconsistent. I dont mind you doing it, its just it seems out of place with your art style and his. I THINK maybe if you traced shots from different angles instead of just a simple profile shot will see you not having to re-use the same image over and over.

I think your series is shaping up well and your developing your characters nicely.
I really enjoyed your nods to anime like the Fist of the North Star series...with the names of the attacks. Very cool touch!

Being an anime fan I really DID enjoy your episodes, tho maybe not as pretty as some other animations here. You really DO prove that you SHOULDNT judge a book by its cover.

Great work! ^_^

You know you use a tablet too much... if you suddenly wonder where CTRL + Z is when your sketching in real life.
