Ummm... okay

I noticed you traced over the art of a good friend of mine. I wonder what Virulent Shuriken would think? Its obvious you traced over art from his Killer Kazuki animation...
Try making your own art.

Lost-Chances responds:

I doubt BlueFlameSkulls copied your bastard's friend's work. If he did, out of all the people's works he could of traced, he had to choose a poor peice of shit called graphics.

Unless you have something intelligent to say, fuck off and die.

Nice Stuff :)

Hey,
nice movie. Nicely animated and funny as hell. I just have something to say in reply to SammieP who reviewed a little earlier.

Is it me, or does SammieP come off like a wierd stalker? He explains in his review that you guys should come up with your own characters...fair point. But the guy needs to come up with his own life. Instead of being a walking advertisement for his male obsession. If Knox had anything to say, he would of said it. A 'bestfriend' fan-boy groupie should know their place, spouting facts and statistics Knox makes you look more like a nerd and even more pathetic then the people your trying to criticize.

Im not usually one to flame people, Im just here to animate. But that just made me sick!

TehPiconjers responds:

thx 4 teh review, and j00 r right about "SammieT". Knox should get some protection, that guy is scary.
Also, look out in a week for Piconjo Jam #22, SickSexFiend will be making a part ;)

Wonderful work.

I really enjoyed your movie. I agree with others and think its always refreshing to see something a little more positive on here. I thought the choice of music was great and you really did an awesome job of telling your story with the music driving it.

I came away from this submission with a really nice feeling, its rare to even be thinking about movies after you've seen them on NewGrounds. With most of them being short they easily become disposible and you go on to watch another. So its really special when movies like yours come along and leave viewers with something to think about long after you've closed it.

Nice work!

Like a good glass of lemonade on a hot summer day. But there'd better be ice. Don't cheat me on the ice.

Dark gory goodness.

Great work! The amount of time and effort you put into this piece really shows. I adore anime so your little nods to your influences I thought were great.
I thought however the backgrounds kind of constricted you in some of the scenes. The beginning especially, the sorts of views you were allowed consisted of a side view. Cuz you had no more angles for that background. Maybe working with someone who can produce backgrounds to your specifications will help create a more absorbing cinematic flair.
I thought your animation was well done. It was smooth and fast, fitting the action perfectly. Peeking at the climatic final battle with some nice frame by frame. (Yes, Naruto rocks!)
Your action was well thought out. Nicely paced with a whole lot of variety. I loved that each action scene had something new to offer. I believe we have very similar influences, I believe you done them justice.
The voices, OMG! I cant believe how well they came out like american dubbing. Its soooo awesome! The lines and execution... sounded sooo like an american dubbed anime. I was in stitches... even the lines had a similar feel. Great job.

Love your dedication and hard work, cant wait to see more from you.

VirulentShuriken responds:

Thanks for the awesome review Stryda, the reason for the BGs being jpegs was because i wanted to try something new for this animation, but for my future animations ill be sure to draw the BGs myself, and add more angles.

By the way i'm also a fan of your animations, im looking forward to "Priest Trilogy: part 2" :^)

Nice work!

Hi,
Its great to see animators from the UK on here.
I just checked out your animations today, I must say I find your story very interesting. Its strange to see "Lucifer" played as a more meloncoly character then the blood thirsty tyrant we are more used to seeing.

I thought the artwork was nice, although in some places it appears weaker.

I really enjoyed your choice of music, it gave it a great atmosphere.

Also, maybe you could spend more time on ur animations giving us longer versions? Your short episodes work well... but I would enjoy watching something a little longer.

Its great to see another UK animation student on NG like me... keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing more of your Hellsent series.

(I gave u a 3 for humour cuz I found that faint bit a great comedic moment!)

lucifer-rising responds:

cheers, im still getting to grips with my characters in this but, you will be happy to know as the action hots up theres more fbf animation, im going to try n make lucys part in hell slightly humorus.. and satans adventures on earth dark n well slightly sad... in a way i hope i can help bring a little seriousness to anmation.. im sick of lame attempts at being gross and funny.. ya know wot i mean?

HAHAHA! Very cool!

Haha, for having Gackt in your profile alone deserves a 10. HAHA! Anyway, I really enjoyed your film. GREAT japanese anime and Godzilla parody...
I really liked how you poked fun at alot of anime stereotypes...
The flash white and red lines, the super power name explanation. (When gozilla does the vicks beam, its name is displayed.) And the voices made me squee with laughter and delight... TOO GOOD! I really liked the lil bit where the girl was playing a video game unaware of the action outside. Well, not until her building gets squashed of course.

All my 5 are yours!

I love your work. *still laughing*
Make more!

Plastico-Monkey responds:

Hehe, thank you I'm a huge Gackt fan. It's an honor to have you review this. I love your Priest Trilogy so far very very awesome stuff. :)

StRanG3Ly InTEre5T!nG...

The mad randomness was actually quite cool. I liked the concept of the guy running around at light speed everything quaking in his path.

It's strangely cool...at the start I thought hmm...another stick movie, whatever. But kept at it and I found something strangely interesting. Really fit the quick beats of the DDR tune.

not bad.

The art was pretty bad...but I liked the concept.

kazus responds:

wow thanks! ^_^ I kinda agree with the others who say its crap...but whatever...oh well maybe it is alright after all...

Wasnt what I was expecting...

From the beginning of your piece I was getting really hyped from all the logos at the start of your trailer. Thinking this is gonna be the best thing since the coming of cheese...
Was really expecting something dark...I was wrong. I dont mean that in a bad way, I was just expecting serious looking art cuz of the vampire chronicals basis, what I got was something more comedic.
Your have a nice original look and I like your artwork. I'm guessing your trailer got the expected results out of me...I think you wanted to go flip-mode and surprise people with something they werent expecting. From the transition from Danny Elfman's haunting work to Korn.
In any case, I look forward to seeing your work. Nice trailer.

antiqkk responds:

Thanks for the long review. Well, when I was thinking of doing the actual movie, I decided to somehow experiment, you know, all those fresh ideas always in your head. So made it look kinda cartoony and not dark. Thanks

I really liked this...

Hi there,
I really enjoyed your Flash...you have some really interesting character designs. I liked the main character he looks pretty cool. (are those dreads he has?)
You put in alot of style and that works with me. The animation wasnt too bad. A lil choppy in places (we could both use some work in this area) but all in all. I REALLY enjoyed your film...
Was just rather surprised at the end. Was it supposed to end like that with a white screen? Seemed out of place. It ended rather abruptly...but I like what WAS done. Keep up the great work!

TheOtto responds:

thanks, its nice to get a review from another animator! I like your style too.. and the reason it ended so wierdly was because it was the wrong file... oh well

You know you use a tablet too much... if you suddenly wonder where CTRL + Z is when your sketching in real life.
